It was my first time at this salon, and Danika gave me the best cut I've had in years! I've been struggling with hair changes due to health and new greys. and didn't know how to care for my new hair texture. It was so dry, and my curl pattern was giving alpaca. Danika took her time to understand what I was looking for and offered helpful suggestions. She was so easy to talk to, and it was honestly such a relaxing experience. The salon itself is so cute, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable for the time and service (the scalp massage was everything), and I purchased a hair tonik. All of that was about what I paid at my last salon for just a cut and standard wash. It's definitely my new hair care home.

Every stylist here is very educated and talented! They can create anything from an edgy haircut to a simple trim, and they can also dye your hair rainbow or just add a simple highlight. I went here today for the first time and had an excellent experience! Upon arrival, the person at the front desk checked me in, hung up my coat in a closet, and I asked if I wanted any tea/coffee/water. I booked a long haircut with Emily Leisher, which was $95. Emily was very communicative and excellent in determining how to best cut my hair. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and she knew how to cut it! She also used a specific curl shampoo for the wash. At the end of diffusing my hair, Emily ensured I was happy with how it turned out and asked if I wanted to change anything. She also recommended products I could use to better define my waves/curls. All the staff there were very friendly and the building itself it very cute and well decorated. I will be going back!

A reminder to our guests that the parking lot located next to the salon DOES NOT belong to Smoke + Mirrors. It is a private lot, and the owners are actively enforcing towing. There is, however, metered and free street parking available out front on 36th and on the surrounding residential streets. Thank you!
